Job Templates serve as the job description that displays on the online application. Job Templates allow your organization to standardize and re-use job descriptions within ApplicantStack™. To access the Job Templates click the Library Tab and select Jobs from the left side menu.
Displayed on the Job Templates Grid is the name of the Job Template, the date and time it was last modified as well as the actions icons that allow you to edit a template, view a template or delete a template. Additionally, from this page you are able to create a new template or delete an existing template from the right side Navigation Menu.
Create Job Template
Select Create Template to begin creating a Job Template from scratch.
Enter the name of the new template in the Name field. Next enter your text into the text field. You can also utilize the Word Processing feature of this field to format your text. If you are pasting in from Microsoft Word, you should use one of these two pasting options:
- Paste as Plain Text: This allows you to paste the text without regard to format. Using this method you are able to format the text using the ApplicantStack's™ Word Processing features.
- Paste from Word: Depending on the type of formatting used, this will allow you to keep the formatting depending on the program.
When you are finished, click Save to create your new Job Template.
Editing a Job Template
From the Job Template Grid, select the Job Template you wish to Edit. This can be done by:
- Selecting the Underlined Name of the Job Template and then Edit Template from the Navigation Menu
- Selecting the Edit Icon under Actions for the Listing Template you wish to Edit.
The edit screen gives you the same options available on the Create Template screen.
Once you have made your edits, click save. Saving the edits will apply those changes to any future use of the Template. These changes will not be applied to any Jobs that currently utilize the Listing Template. You will need to edit their templates individually.
Using the Job Templates
Once the Template is created and saved, it can be selected from the Job Tab when creating a Job:
Once associated with the Job, the Listing Template can be edited and will not affect the template in the Library.
