ApplicantStack has partnered with many third-party job boards, such as Monster and CareerBuilder to enable automated posting of jobs. However, if you need to post your jobs to other job boards, such as local or specialty job boards, you can still do so in a way that all applications are collected in your ApplicantStack database. You can also utilize the screening questions, EEO/OFCCP identification and custom branding provided by your ApplicantStack job board.
First, you'll need to go through the normal process of creating a job ad, on your third-party job board. Follow the instructions provided by the job board, for information on how to create the job advertisement. Note that you can likely copy/paste the listing from ApplicantStack onto the third-party job board.
If you haven't yet created and opened the job in ApplicantStack, you'll need to do that now. Follow the instructions in the Jobs guide or Getting Started Guide to create a new job in ApplicantStack. Open the ApplicantStack job.
On the Launch tab of the job, you'll see the posting links, which you can use to link the job up with the third-party job board.
Copy one of these links depending on your need:
- Job Listing: Use this link to send the candidate to a page that has your job listing, i.e. job description, with a button for them to click to Apply.
- Apply Online: Use this link to send the candidate directly to the online application for this job.
- Apply Email: Use this email address if you want to provide a way for the candidate to apply via email, i.e. send a message and attach a resume to the email.
In most cases you will likely want to use the
Apply Online link, to direct the candidate directly to the online application for the job. If you are providing a synopsis in the job ad, and want to direct the candidate to a full job description, use the
Job Listing link. If the third-party site does not allow you to add a link, you can use the
Apply Email address to direct them to apply via email.
If you want to track the Source of applications, you can select the appropriate value from the Candidate Source drop-down before you copy the link.
When you select a Candidate Source it will "tag" the links with a unique code so ApplicantStack will know that the candidate came from the source. If you are an Administrator, you can add you own options to the Candidate Source drop-down, by going to Setup-->Configure-->Configure Application Fields and editing the Source filed here:
Alternatively, you can use the Apply URL and type the source value at the end of the URL. For example if your Apply URL was somesite.applicantstack.com/x/apply/a2fv471z86di, you would go to the end of the URL, enter a backslash and then your source. If you wanted to use CareerBuilder, your new Apply URL would look like somesite.applicantstack.com/x/apply/a2fv471z86di/CareerBuilder. Note that your source at the end of the URL should match the spelling and punctuation of the source in the source value drop down.
