ApplicantStack™ has partnered with Monster.com to enable customers to post their jobs directly to Monster.com with only a couple clicks, using their existing Monster.com account. The following is a walkthrough of posting a job to Monster.com through ApplicantStack™ .
Before you can use the Monster.com integration, you need to enable and set up the integration. Go to Setup->Job Boards and click Edit Settings for Monster.com.
Source Value: Select a source value, to apply to all candidates who come from Monster.com. If you don't already have a Monster source value, go to Setup->Configure Application Fields->Source->Edit Options and add a value for Monster.
Account Username/Password: Enter the username/password of your Monster.com posting account which contains your Monster.com purchased inventory. This account must have "Real-Time Posting Credentials" enabled by Monster. For most accounts, this is NOT enabled by default, but can be enabled by Monster at no additional charge. Please contact Monster.com at 1-800-MONSTER to request these credentials.
Status: Set to Active to enable the Monster.com link on your Launch tab, or Inactive if you want hide the link and no longer post your jobs to Monster.com
Once you have your Monster integration set up, Monster will appear on the Launch tab of your jobs with a Post Job link. Note that your job must be open, in order to post your job to Monster, just like your primary job board.
After you click Post Job you will see a form with all the available fields for posting the job to Monster.com. Many of the fields, such as Reference No, Job Title and Job Description, will be pre-filled with the data you already entered for your job. The other fields will be left empty for you to assign.
The fields required by Monster are indicated with a red asterisk. Fields without a red asterisk are not required. However, the more information you provide the better the chance that someone will find your job in a criteria search, so we recommend filling in all applicable fields.
After you click Submit, ApplicantStack™ will attempt to post the job to Monster using your account credentials. If there is an error in the posting, an error message will be returned and you will have the ability to correct any errors and post again. If the post was successful, you will receive a Success message back, which includes the job posting URL of the job, on Monster's site.
Note that if Monster comes back with a success message and a post URL, then the job has been successfully posted to Monster.com. However, it may take a couple hours before the job is indexed by Monster and appears in their search results.
If you click the Job Posting URL you can view how the job looks on Monster.com. Here is an example of how the job will look, on Monster.com.
When a visitor clicks the Apply link on the job posting in Monster.com, they will be taken to the Apply page for the job, on your ApplicantStack™ job board, where they will apply like any other applicant in your system.
After you have posted the job to Monster, there will be a View Details link on the Launch tab which you can click to view details on the posted job.
Current Status: Shows the current status of the job ad, i.e. Posted, Not Posted, Expired, etc.
Post URL: The URL of the job on the Monster.com site. You can click this link to view the job on Monster.com.
Post Date: The date the job was posted to Monster.com.
Expire Date: The date the job posting will expire on the Monster.com site. After this date the job will come off the site and will no longer appear in the Monster search results.
Posting History: This table shows the history of all Monster posting activity for this job in ApplicantStack™ , such as when the job is posted, modified, or removed. Each entry shows the Date of the activity and the User who performed the activity.
Edit Posting: Click this to edit the information in the posting. You can edit the posting at any time while it is still posted, but the Post Date and Expire Date will remain unchanged.
Remove Posting: Click this to remove the posting from the Monster site and search results. Note that the job will automatically be removed after the Expire Date.
Once the Expire Date of the job has been reached, the job posting will automatically come off the Monster.com site. You don't need to remove job postings if you want them to stay on Monster for the full posting duration. However, if you want to take down a job posting from Monster before it has expired (for example, if the job has been filled or you've reached your target number of applications), you can do so by clicking the Remove Posting link.
Candidates who find your job on Monster.com and apply will show up in your ApplicantStack™ database just like any other candidate, but their Source will be automatically set as Monster (or whatever value you specified in the Job Board Settings up top). Since candidates apply directly on your ApplicantStack™ job board, they will go directly into your database, so there is no need to log in to Monster to retrieve your applications and manually import them into your database.
