ApplicantStack™ has partnered with CareerBuilder to enable customers to post their jobs directly to CareerBuilder with only a couple clicks, using their existing CareerBuilder inventory. The following is a walkthrough of posting a job to CareerBuilder, through ApplicantStack.
Before you can use the CareerBuilder integration, you need to enable and set up the integration. Go to Setup->Job Boardsand click Edit Settings for CareerBuilder.
Source Value: Select a source value, to apply to all candidates who come from CareerBuilder. If you don't already have a CareerBuilder source value, go to Setup->Configure Application Fields->Source->Edit Options and add a value for CareerBuilder.
Account Username/Password: Enter the username/password of your CareerBuilder posting account which contains your CareerBuilder purchased inventory. Note that your entire organization must use the same posting account credentials, so make sure this is an organization level account and not an individual recruiter account. You can request a separate username/password from CareerBuilder just for posting purposes at no additional charge. Please contact your CareerBuilder account representative for more details.
Status: Set to Active to enable the CareerBuilder link on your Launch tab, or Inactive if you want hide the link and no longer post your jobs to CareerBuilder.
Once you have your CareerBuilder integration set up, CareerBuilder will appear on the Launch tab of your jobs with a Post Job link. Note that your job must be Open in order to post your job to CareerBuilder, just like your primary job board.
After you click Post Job, you will see a form with all the available fields for posting the job to CareerBuilder. Many of the fields, such as Job ID, Job Title and Job Description, will be pre-filled with the data you already entered for your job. The other fields will be left empty for you to assign.
The fields, required by CareerBuilder, are indicated with a red asterisk. Fields without a red asterisk are not required. However, the more information you provide the better the chance that someone will find your job in a criteria search, so we recommend filling in all applicable fields.
After you click Submit, ApplicantStack will attempt to queue the job to post to CareerBuilder. CareerBuilder uses a two-step posting mechanism, where jobs are queued to post first, and then will be posted a few minutes later. CareerBuilder will display a message indicating whether the job was successfully queued to post, or indicate any errors in the posting.
Even if CareerBuilder says that the job was successfully queued to post, that does NOT mean the job will be posted successfully. You will need to check back in a few minutes to see if the job was successfully posted, as described in the next section.
When you return to the Launch tab, the Status of the CareerBuilder posting should say Queued, indicating that it is queued to post to CareerBuilder. It can take a couple minutes for the job to post to CareerBuilder, at which point the status will update to either Posted or Error. You can click View Details to view the details of the job posting.
In times of high traffic, it may take up to a half-hour for a queued job to post to CareerBuilder. If the status is still showing as Queued after a half-hour, please contact ApplicantStack support for help.
Once the queued job has posted to CareerBuilder, you will be able to view the job posting details by clicking the View Details link.

Remove Posting: Click this to remove the posting from the CareerBuilder site and search results. Note that the job will automatically be removed after the Expire Date.
If you click the Job Posting URL you can view how the job looks on CareerBuilder. Here is an example of how the job will look posted on CareerBuilder.
When a visitor clicks the Apply link on the job posting in CareerBuilder, they will be taken to the Apply page for the job on your ApplicantStack job board where they will apply like any other applicant in your system.
Once the expire date has been reached, the job posting will automatically come off of the CareerBuilder site. You don't need to remove job postings if you want them to stay on CareerBuilder for the full posting duration. However, if you want to take down a job posting from CareerBuilder before it has expired (for example if the job has been filled or you've reached your target number of applications), you can do so by clicking the Remove Posting link.
Candidates who find your job on CareerBuilder, and apply, will show up in your ApplicantStack database, just like any other candidate, but their Source will be automatically set as CareerBuilder (or whatever value you specified in the Job Board Settings up top). Since candidates apply directly on your ApplicantStack job board, they will go directly into your database, so there is no need to log in to CareerBuilder to retrieve your applications and manually import them into your database.
