Pro: You wrap the iframe inside your site. We’ll match the CSS [as much as we can] to make it look and feel the same site. It can look seamless to the end user. You can also make changes to the page that the iframe is wrapped on at any time without having to speak to us. As the embedded iframe will be on your page the url can be changed whenever you like.
Con: Scaling can be a problem. There is no easy fix to adjust the iframe size, so you get horizontal and vertical scrolling bars. Some browsers might see the iframe as foreign code, and a threat. Some intranets, in particular, are set up to block iframe code. Lastly, iframe contents are usually ignored by search engines.
Pro: We can closely match the look and feel of your site on our server. Because we have it on our server we can also switch on SSL (Secure Sockets Layer and, in short, it's the standard technology for keeping an internet connection secure and safeguarding any sensitive data that is being sent between two systems, preventing criminals from reading and modifying any information transferred, including potential personal details.) if you need it in future, and the page will degrade correctly to be viewable on mobile.
Cons: We can’t always match the site exactly. Paid for fonts are not possible due to licensing issues. Similarly, we have found that drop down menus are often proprietary code. So we offer the main menu, but no drop downs. The URL is typically customer.applicantstack.com but we can place it a custom domain name such as jobs.customer.com. Lastly, if you want to make changes to the page [menu links] you’ll have to contact us and we can make the changes for you. This is usually a quick fix and can be done within the hour.
