ApplicantStack’s new Sponsored Jobs integration with the world’s #1 job site, Indeed, is a simple, cost-effective way to make sure your jobs are front-and-center when candidates are looking. And since this new integration gives you access to Indeed’s reporting and analytics, you’ll have the data you need to better understand and optimize your hiring campaigns.
When you create new jobs in ApplicantStack, you'll be asked if you want to sponsor them before you post. Navigate to the job's launch tab and click edit launch status.
Next, you will be given options to setup your Indeed Sponsored Job. The system will ask you to provide a fixed 30-day budget for the job and to provide an email address. The email address is used to link an existing Indeed Advertisers account. If the email address that you provided does not match an existing Indeed account, Indeed will contact this email address to set up an account.
You can sponsor your job using preset amounts of 250.00, 500.00 and 750.00 for a 30-day campaign. You can also set a custom budget as well for a 30-day campaign. To set a custom budget click the link "provide custom budget".
Click the button labeled "Sponsor Job on Indeed now" to advance to the next step in the process. If you do not wish to sponsor the job, you can click the button labeled "Skip" and continue as normal.
If you chose to sponsor your job, you are given the option to provide a phone number for the sponsored posting. If you provide this number, you are agreeing that Indeed can contact your via phone to discuss your sponsored posting's performance and offer suggestions for improvement. Click the button labeled "Submit Phone Number" to add the phone number. If you do not wish to add a phone number, Click the button labeled "Skip".
You will now see your settings on the page. Click “Next” to go through the rest of the steps for setting up the job posting.
Please note that, while Indeed requires that you select a budget amount, you are only charged for the amount of clicks that are recorded for each job.
Once you've completed your first sponsorship in ApplicantStack, you should visit https://ads.indeed.com/job/ads to verify that your campaign is live and your account is set up correctly.
Revisiting your posting
When revisiting a job, you will see settings for the Indeed Sponsored posting. Please note, the budget settings on this page are not necessarily reflective of Indeed. Please be sure to check settings in your Indeed Account for specifics of budget and posting settings.
When viewing the settings, you have the option of Increasing the budget of the posting. If you would like to increase your budget for your posting, click the button labeled "Increase Budget". Select your additional budget and then click the link labeled "Increase Budget"
After choosing additional budget, click the Next button, and finish the steps for launching the job.
You also have the option of ending a sponsored campaign. You can do this by clicking the button labeled "End Campaign". You can end the campaign at anytime and you will only be charged for the clicks that were received while the campaign was active.
If you do not wish to use Indeed Sponsored Postings, you can disable the postings by navigating to setup, then Job Boards and look for the section labeled Third Party Job Boards. Select Edit Settings for Indeed and set Allowed Indeed Sponsored to No.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Aren’t our jobs already on Indeed?
While we already send the public postings you create in ApplicantStack to Indeed, this new integration lets you use - or create - an Indeed account to sponsor any of these jobs from within ApplicantStack. Your Indeed account gives you access to Indeed’s reporting and analytics, so you have the data you need to monitor and optimize hiring campaigns.
Why should I sponsor a job on Indeed?
Indeed Sponsored Jobs receive up to 5X more clicks than non-sponsored jobs, so they’re a great option anytime you want to get more high quality applicants faster. Indeed’s pay-per-click model means that you are only charged when a job seeker clicks on your sponsored posting, and you can end your campaign at any time.
Do I need to do anything after I click the sponsor button?
If you already have an Indeed account that matches the email address you use in ApplicantStack, and have a valid credit card on file with Indeed, you do not need to take any further action. Your campaign will go live within a few hours, and you can view campaign details on your Indeed Dashboard: https://ads.indeed.com/job/ads
If you do not have an Indeed account, or if you have an Indeed account without a valid credit card, you will receive an email from Indeed with one-time setup instructions. If you do not receive an email, or if you are uncertain whether you have an Indeed account, you can visit https://billing.indeed.com
How do I use/create an Indeed account?
When you sponsor a job in ApplicantStack, Indeed receives the job and budget information along with the email address you used in ApplicantStack. If that address matches an existing Indeed account, the campaign will be added to that account. If the email address you used in ApplicantStack does not match an existing Indeed account, the integration creates one for you.
How do I manage my sponsored jobs?
You should always end campaigns sponsored through the integration in ApplicantStack. All other campaign management and reporting should occur within your Indeed dashboard. If a you want to change the length of time a campaign runs, you should ONLY do that in consultation with an Indeed rep. If you do not know who your rep is, you can contact Indeed at 1-800-475-4361 Monday - Friday 8 A.M. to 8 P.M US EST, or via their online support center https://www.indeed.com/hire/contact-us
