In this update, we are adding two new features to enhance our texting feature:
- Email Notifications - to receive an email notification when a text message is received
- Bulk Texting - to send the same message to multiple candidates
NOTE: The texting feature must be enabled by an Administrator on the Settings page. For more information on how to set it up, see the following article: Texting
Email Notifications:
We have added an email notification option for all incoming text messages.
To enable this new feature go to your account settings page by clicking on your avatar:
Then select "My Account":
To turn on the Text Email Notifications, select "Edit Account":
Then Set the Text Email Notifications to "On" or "Off":
This is what a sample email notification will look like. You will notice the message as well as a convenient link to reply to the conversation:
Bulk Texting:
From the candidate view table, you can now select multiple candidates by selecting several at a time or the top most checkbox (this will select all of the candidates in the current view table page). You will also notice a new column "P" which will indicate which candidate(s) have a mobile phone available for a text message:
Note: Only mobile numbers can receive the text message. If you send a text message to a non-mobile number you will receive an error message.
Once you select multiple candidates, you will need to select "Text Candidate" from the right-side menu:
Then begin typing your message, include any questionnaires, and hit "Send"
IMPORTANT: Each candidate will receive their own unique text message and will be unaware of any other individual on the list. This is NOT a group text message!
If you try to send a text message to a non-mobile number, you will see the following error message:
Close up to the error message:
You can continue with the message, knowing that there will be no message sent to the above candidates.
You can also send text messages to an individual candidate by selecting the checkbox next to their name and selecting "Text Candidate":
